FAQ

How many students to you take in a training program?
Classes are typically between 15-18 students.  We like to keep the group small enough to foster one on one attention and yet large enough to create a positive group dynamic.   We are dedicated to extending this opportunity to as many qualified individuals as we can.

Does everyone who completes the program receive the certification?
Certification is not guaranteed simply by attending the Teacher Training program.  You must pass the anatomy and theory tests, attend and participate in all posture clinics and lectures, and demonstrate proficiency in both teaching group yoga classes and working with individual clients.

What do I do after I receive my certification?
Many students find teaching opportunities at local studios or health clubs.  There are also countless ways to make your own opportunities as well.  Everyone can benefit from yoga, so the avenues and possibilities for teaching are endless!

How much of the course includes practice and how much includes discussion?
Each day there will be one taught yoga class, and throughout the day there will be movement and posture related activities.  Always come to sessions prepared to move.  Group discussion is also a big part of the program as well, covering topics such as theory, anatomy, etc.

Can I take this course just to learn more about yoga?
Of course.  Many students take this course as a way to deepen their own personal practice and as the next step on the path to learning  more about themselves and about yoga.  What you choose to do after you are certified is entirely up to you.

I can’t perform all of the postures in their full expression. Does this disqualify me from taking the course?
Not at all.  Teachers are encouraged to teach what they know well.  If you do not know how to perform a particular pose, simply don’t teach it until you are proficient.
